We FINALLY passed our inspection! It only took 4 tries and 2 inspectors- and man was the main inspector a royal pain in the a$$. He must have been bullied as a child, and is now taking it out on anyone who crosses his path. wowsers. Glad we’re through it, but the unfortunate part is that he will have to come back to do the final inspection. bah.
Moving on.
Things are finally starting to happen! in the last few days, the house has been almost completely drywalled, taped and mudded. Its so nice to see things starting to look fresh and new, instead of having the guts hanging out everywhere.

I know it still doesn’t look like much, but it finally feels like we’re starting to get to the home stretch. This week the contractors will finish all the drywalling, mudding and taping, and will start on the flooring. the kitchen goes in on Saturday, so the walls and floors int he kitchen, at least, have to be finished for that. And it finally feels like we’re getting somewhere… only about a month behind schedule.
